Antonia by Puredistance

Notes: ivy, galbanum, rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, orris, vanilla, vetiver, musk
With perfumer Annie Buzantian at the helm, once more, Antonia is a marked improvement over I. However, this time around, the perfume oil concentration has been decreased from 32% to 25%. Why is anyone's guess but this shouldn't detract from the fact that it's both a sophisticated and beguiling green-floral.

Accompanied by the sharp verdancy of ivy and galbanum, the florals exude a dreamy creaminess without ever becoming too sweet. With salty and sappy green subtleties throughout its development, the orris is moderately discreet. Upon the drydown, tender swirls of vanilla emerge and the vetiver strives to preserve the composition's green inclination. One can also briefly detect a slight castoreum accent, from time to time.

Antonia is impressively beautiful but could have been better with a slightly more complex structure – especially with regards to the green accords. The same could also be said about its general performance on the skin, but at least Puredistance is moving in the right direction.
