(Musk) Oriental Goldskin is a pungent and unpleasant musk fragrance that fails to make a positive impression. It's vaguely reminiscent of Guerlain's Shalimar but with a prominent petroleum-like accord. Ultimately, it's pretty drab and one-dimensional, with a drydown that smells like cheap air freshener.

By the way, the 22 carat gold flakes (floating around in the bottle) aren't optional.

Just like Ramón Molvízar's previous releases, it quickly becomes apparent that more effort was invested in the packaging than the actual fragrance itself. On this occasion, Precious is housed in a coloured glass bottle that changes its spectral properties when held against the light.

Based on how achingly bland this woody-floral aquatic is, you would be much better off admiring a glass prism while applying stale water from a flower vase.

For all the marketing spiel, regarding so-called "art, luxury and exclusivity", Gift Homme is (ironically) a boring, synthetic and uninspired woody-musk creation. But it should be noted that there aren't any 22 carat gold flakes floating around in the bottle.

We wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong impression, now would we?

White Goldskin by Ramón Molvízar

With White Goldskin, it's yet another dull musk fragrance that smells utterly synthetic, let alone run-of-the-mill. It's just too simplistic and artificial to warrant any serious analysis.

Not even the unusually shaped bottle and 22 carat gold flakes can redeem this one.

Goldskin by Ramón Molvízar

Goldskin is a lactonic fruity-floral but nothing really earth-shattering – eventually morphing into something more masculine during the drydown. Longevity is about four hours and, as always with the Gold Collection, there are 22 carat gold flakes floating around in the extravagantly designed bottle.

If you don't like dominantly artificial musk scents, please avoid.

Luna / Moon by Ramón Molvízar

Comment: Luna / Moon is part of the Gold Collection

Luna / Moon is a slight improvement over Sol / Sun, but it still lacks sufficient substance. With musk being the apparent house note, Ramón Molvízar fragrances aren't worth investigating by those who dislike dominant and synthetic musk scents, as well as those who truly appreciate artistry and quality in perfumery.

It's insubstantial, uninspired and crudely overpriced.

Gift Femme by Ramón Molvízar

Gift Femme is probably the best creation from this house but it's still not full bottle-worthy by a mile. It's simply another underwhelming fruity-floral scent. Regardless of the luxurious image this house attempts to convey, it still smells overtly artificial and verges dangerously close to developing into something extremely generic.

Black Goldskin by Ramón Molvízar

Ramón Molvízar must be pretty confident that those who buy his fragrances won't object to being covered in 22 carat gold flakes...

Black Goldskin opens with a citrus burst but dries down to a strange cocoa butter accord. Like most creations from this house, it stays close to the skin. It's also one of the more unisex efforts from the Gold Collection and is more subdued than, say, Goldskin.

Still, even a budget-priced fragrance possesses more charisma than this contrived offering.

Sol / Sun by Ramón Molvízar

Sol / Sun is a very nondescript floral-musk that miserably fails to justify its vulgar price point. It's probably best targeted towards olfactorily-challenged Russian oligarchs, members of Middle Eastern dynasties, drug barons and corrupt politicians.
