Comment: Sakura is part of the White Collection and is only available in Japan

Parfum Satori is a Japanese niche fragrance house and Sakura is classified as a floral.

Opening with a timid cherry note, it doesn't exude much evidence of any shiso (a variety of mint, taxonomically known as Lamiaceae, belonging to the same family as basil, rosemary, mint, sage, marjoram, oregano, thyme and lavender). In fact, it possesses more of a conventional herbaceous flair than a minty aroma.

As a subtle floral overture unfolds, a woody foundation of cedar, frankincense and moss gradually surfaces and guides the composition towards a more humdrum affair. Emulating the aroma of the traditional Japanese scent bag, called nioi-bukuro, a sandalwood-like creaminess eventually yields to a puritanical white musk. Sadly, it's just too ephemeral and staid for one's personal tastes.

Composed for women, sillage is very low and lasts for around four hours.
