Aoud Purple Rose is nothing more than a mélange of the more recent Montale outings – most noticeably Aoud Amber Rose, Moon Aoud and Aoud Safran. While the juxtaposition of the saffron, rose, oud and buttery leather are pleasing to one's nose, there's far too much déjà vu going on to get terribly excited about it.
