Notes: saffron, rose, French marigold, oud, Mysore sandalwood
To those who are relatively new to Montale, it would be very easy (and rather understandable) to confuse Aoud Red Flowers with the darker and more intense Aoud Flowers. However, although they are both floral ouds, they are completely different beasts.
Compared to Aoud Flowers, Aoud Red Flowers consists of brighter florals, with less emphasis on the oud and other woods. With the inclusion of saffron, there's also an underlying spiciness to the proceedings. But on the downside, it's too subtle and uneventful to get into a flutter about.
It's slightly feminine, with average sillage and longevity.
