Comment: Tubéreuse 2 Virginale is part of the Tubéreuse Trilogy
In the Tubéreuse Trilogy, Tubéreuse 2 Virginale is probably the most conventional of the three.

Personally, one finds it to be more of a sweet floral-oriental, showcasing a smooth, rich and creamy white floral bouquet that's more clean than indolic. Commencing with succulent fruity top notes, this stage is more about the cherry, which possesses a dark, marzipan-like bittersweetness. As for the tuberose, it never really stands out from the heady bouquet, instead playing a modest supporting role.

With plenty of vanilla and a woody-musk base, it's a delicious composition that leans more towards a feminine disposition. However, one also finds that it relies too much on aroma chemicals, such as cashmeran, resulting in a drydown with a dubious scratchy quality. But, in its favour, one doesn't detect anything closely resembling cedar or Iso E Super.

Providing good presence and ample longevity, it's another respectable instalment from this trilogy.
