Cuir6 by Pekji

Year: 2015

Notes: leather
Billed as "a trio of leathers merged into one", Cuir6 is just too structurally simplistic and one-dimensional.

With a dark, rubbery, dry and smoky opening, all one mostly detects is birch tar, with possibly some subdued spices and a mild castoreum-infused woody base. It also hardly evolves any further, resulting in a relatively dull and monotonous rendition of leather, which fails to say anything new. To be honest, if it didn't largely smell like diluted birch tar, one might have viewed it more favourably.

Projection is initially loud, before significantly calming down, with below average tenacity.
