Another Mark Buxton composition for Linari, another baffling misstep...

Porta del Cielo is a confused mishmash of fruits, florals, woods and resins, which emits a dusty and chocolaty wafer aura throughout its development. Starting out with a heavily diluted blast of bergamot, all the accords are thrown against the wall at very much the same time. As the notes bleed into each other, a somewhat synthetic vanillic and woody-musk base seeps through the muddled haze.

With good longevity and moderate projection, it's marginally better than his other Linari creations (Notte Bianca and Angelo di Fiume) but that's about it.
