Oxiana by Profumum

*****
Year: 2009

Notes: patchouli, myrrh, opopanax, musk
According to Luckyscent, Oxiana is allegedly "the love child of Thundra and Aqua di Sale". To be completely honest, one has to disagree with such an inaccurate and misguiding statement, as it's actually the love child of Thundra and Vanitas (but with the vanilla substituted for opopanax).

Inspired by the region surrounding the Amu Darya River, which separates Afghanistan from both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Oxiana could easily be dubbed either 'Vanitas Lite' or 'Thundra II'. With minimal projection, it also offers less than stellar longevity (around three to four hours). Based on some of Profumum's previous creations, one can't help but feel disappointingly underwhelmed.
