Forte + Forte is a citrus-aromatic that begins wonderfully sweet, fresh and energetic, with a green aromatic foil of lavender, tarragon and clove.
The composite citrus accords are delectably rich and zesty but, as expected, fleeting. The woods are discreet but a powderiness, derived from the iris, is evident almost from the very beginning. Built upon an ambery-musk base, the powdery iris prevents a humdrum finale from occurring.
Although it's a shame it lasts for less than two hours, the opening is absolutely stunning. Being more complex than Sigilli's Hesperia, it still comes recommended if only for the top notes.
