Notes: a secret formula without citrus notes
The official notes for L'O de l'Ó are top secret, which is puzzling as it isn't the best creation that l'Ó Profumo has released to date. But, allegedly, it's an old formula that has magical properties...
With the absence of any citrus components, this bright aromatic fragrance leads one to conclude that the main chords are litsea cubeba and verbena. With a sharpness seeping through, it possesses a somewhat masculine aura (probably courtesy of some blond tobacco). There's also a soft powderiness that doesn't go unnoticed, but it's just as intriguing.
Suggestive of a mild and creamy woody base, L'O de l'Ó would make a great citrus-free alternative to the likes of Profumum's Acqua Viva or Annick Goutal's Eau d'Hadrien. And even though it isn't as challenging to wear as these two, it's still not something one would necessarily rush to Florence to acquire.
Projection and staying power are both very good.
