Year: 2011
Notes: pear, pink pepper, violet, Rose de Mai, Damascus rose, mimosa, jasmine, iris, sandalwood, ambrette seed
Comment: Nuage Rose is part of the White Collection and is only available in Japan
While mainly smelling like a rose essential oil or rose attar, Nuage Rose places a heavy emphasis on the rose accords (with most of the remaining components either supporting or accentuating them). A delicate serving of iris also serves to underline the composition.
Drawing to a close with a faint musky sandalwood drydown, it's darker than most conventional rose offerings – venturing more into the territory of Montale's Aoud Flowers and Frédéric Malle's Une Rose. Sadly, Nuage Rose isn't as robust as its Western contemporaries, which is a real pity.
