Year: 2012
Notes: Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon, Paraguayan bitter orange, violet leaf from Grasse, Tunisian orange blossom, fig, Haitian vetiver, Texan cedar, oud
Comment: Vétiver Fatal is part of the Collection Matières Absolues
Contrary to the name, there's nothing life-threatening about the amount of vetiver served in Vétiver Fatal.
While it's subtle, creamy and relatively easy to wear, it's slightly green but not particularly earthy or grassy. But the main problem that one has with it is how the citruses dominate and obscure the vetiver accord. Possessing a freshness ideal for the summer months, it also lacks sufficient clarity in its structure.
With decent longevity, it's an appealing creation that could have benefited from a greater presence of vetiver.
