Year: 2000
Notes: ylang-ylang, jasmine, frankincense, Himalayan cedar, agarwood, Amber Essence Oil, Peru balsam, sandalwood
Comment: Vintage formulation
Mystic Wind is a more floral version of Androgeny's Child, with the addition of jasmine and ylang-ylang, but it's also the reformulated version of its aforementioned predecessor.
With pronounced florals, a balsamic aura underlies its sweet floral creaminess. The amber is subdued and acts more within the context of a supporting role, while the frankincense displays an effervescent quality that's more clean than of either the dark or smoky variety.
The cedar intensifies at a later point, prefacing a creamy sandalwood denouement, but the spirit of Androgeny's Child still prevails – it's rich and full-bodied, but that cheap floral air freshener aroma makes it very difficult grant it more praise than it rightfully deserves.
Lasting power is roughly four hours, with moderate sillage.
