Year: 2001
Notes: rose geranium, Bulgarian rose, rose otto, Amber Essence Oil, Amber Royale, rock rose, sandalwood
Comment: Vintage formulation
Described as a marriage of Amber Royale with various rose oils, Amber Rose smells more like a rose variant of Amber Essence Oil to one's nose.
Apart from this, plus a delightful powdery rose drydown, there's really nothing more that one can add. With that said, it's incredibly long-lasting but evolves far too close to the skin to provide ample enjoyment. As always, it's sweet, creamy, warm and resinous but in an extremely reserved manner.
Personally, one prefers Amber Essence Oil instead, but this shouldn't detract from the fact that Amber Rose is still a very noble release.
