A by Blood Concept

*****
Year: 2011

Notes: basil, star anise, tomato leaf, grass, metallic notes

Comment: A is part of the Red Series / Eau de Parfum review

Blood Concept is an Italian niche house that, through its fragrances, portrays an olfactory interpretation of each of the four human blood types (as opposed to what État Libre d'Orange was striving to achieve with Sécrétions Magnifiques). Boasting metallic accords, with no discernible florals, A represents nature and the verdant aroma of familiar landscapes.

Described as "green and aromatic" and "reassuringly clean", it's also relatively short-lived. It's a decent metallic and green aromatic, with a prominent tomato leaf accord, and the star anise provides an underlying sweetness that doesn't interfere too much with its vegetal premise.

Unfortunately, after about ten minutes, there's hardly any trace of it apart from some ultra-clean whispers.
