Year: unknown
Notes: mint, verbena, tobacco, vanilla, musk
Revered by the Celts due to its aphrodisiac properties, Ferfaen is an invigorating and sweet aromatic, featuring a verbena-dominant accord that's both natural and extremely long-lasting. One has always considered verbena to be an excellent (and quite robust) alternative to the relatively short-lived citruses, and the composition further exemplifies this.
The accompanying mint injects a bracing quality, while the tobacco provides further depth (although sometimes it clashes with the verbena). Also, the vanilla and musk base doesn't attempt to steal the spotlight from either the mint or verbena, as both components continue to persist towards the very end.
With very good lasting power and decent projection, it's one of the better offerings from this house and remains a personal Sigilli favourite.
