Lavanda Ambrata is a darker and more gothic version of Lavanda Imperiale, where the lavender is paired with an amber accord. The two notes never overwhelm each other but, instead, alternate their dominance throughout its development, before the amber eventually wins the tug of war towards the drydown.
While the opening is quite pungent, it quickly settles down before burning off relatively quickly. Personally, one found it more stimulating to wear than Lavanda Imperiale but both are equally impressive releases.
