Year: 2007
Notes: Sicilian bergamot and mandarin, violet, rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine sambac, tuberose, Arabian oud, gurjum balsam, Mysore sandalwood, white musk
With the typical opening blast of oud, accompanied by a cavalry of fresh citrus notes, Aoud Blossom starts out no differently to Montale's other hardcore rose-oud offerings. Eventually, the oud recedes and permits the florals to dominate, with the tuberose being the most distinctive accord. With the arrival of sandalwood and musk, the drydown is both soft and delicate.
With very good lasting power and projection, it's both less sweet and linear than Robert Piquet's Fracas, and is highly recommended for tuberose aficionados.
