Tuberosa by Profumum

*****
Year: 1998

Notes: jasmine, tuberose, gardenia
Tuberosa is a very straightforward tuberose soliflore, which isn't as creamy, buttery or sweet as other tuberose fragrances previously encountered. However, it's not very complex either and may disappoint those who weren't expecting something so linear.

With very good longevity and above average sillage, Tuberosa seems to be geared more towards those who are unable to appreciate the hardcore olfactory intricacies of, for example, Frédéric Malle's Carnal Flower or Robert Piquet's Fracas. But, as welcomed as it is to be offered a rendition that's especially devoid of any coconut, one is unable to discern any justification for a price tag that's on par with the tuberose intensive Carnal Flower.
