Gold Flowers by Montale

*****
Year: 2009

Notes: peach, pepper, clove, violet, tuberose, sandalwood, ambergris

Comment: Gold Flowers is part of the Intermediary Collection

Gold Flowers is an elegant and quite potent tuberose rendition. Its vaguely old-fashioned aura is quite similar to that of the renowned tuberose classics, such as Robert Piguet's Fracas. However, it's also reminiscent of more modern interpretations, such as Chinatown by Bond No.9, with alluring violets and a peach accord. As a result, it smells more like an aspiring hybrid, rather than a unique offering based on a well-visited olfactory theme.

Longevity and sillage are both reasonably substantial.
