Opardu by Puredistance

*****
Year: 2012

Notes: purple lilac, Bulgarian rose, carnation, jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, heliotrope, cedar, musk
Created by Annie Buzantian, Opardu is the third feminine release from this Dutch niche house. Reverting back to a 32% perfume oil concentration, one feels that any real progress made with Antonia has been lost.

It's a smooth, milky and musky white floral creation, with the inclusion of some lilac and rose. The carnation is slightly peppery, and the heliotrope heightens the creamy properties of both the tuberose and gardenia. With a cedar nuance in the musk-laden base, Opardu is just as derivative as I, with minimal sillage and disappointing staying power (just like the last two Puredistance efforts by the same perfumer).

As a result, most of this house's offerings makes one question its luxury niche status.
