Vanille Divine des Tropiques by La Maison de la Vanille

*****
Year: 2005

Notes: hyacinth, jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, heliotrope, vanilla, amber

Comment: Vanille Divine des Tropiques is part of the Toutes les Vanilles du Monde Collection
With an array of white florals, Vanille Divine des Tropiques is probably the sweetest release from the Toutes les Vanilles du Monde Collection. The amber is resinous, and the tuberose, jasmine and gardenia infuse the vanilla with a buttery overtone.

Possessing a candyfloss sweetness, the vanilla is rich with a subdued tropical vibe, leaving one wondering why no coconut was added to fully flesh out the concept. The floral aspect doesn't last particularly long, and all that eventually remains are floral traces, alongside a powdery coupling of heliotrope and vanilla.

Although Maison de la Vanille is no Comptoir Sud Pacific, the idiom 'you get what you pay for' holds true. Seen as their floral vanilla, sillage is commendable but longevity is less than three hours.
