Comment: Mistral Patchouli is part of the Collection Matières Absolues

Mistral is defined as a cold dry northerly wind, which blows toward the Mediterranean coast of Southern France during the winter. While Mistral Patchouli possesses a complementary green aquatic nuance, either there's not enough patchouli discernible or the accord has been molecularly modified in some way.

Instead, it's a bland woody-aromatic, with pomelo and plenty of star anise that mingles with the geranium. With occasional swirls of pepper and frankincense, and an iris underpinning, the vetiver is a lot more evident than the patchouli itself. As things draw to a close, the balsamic sweetness of the benzoin comes out in full force.

As a result, one is unable to stir up much enthusiasm for something so light (lasting less than three hours) and sorely misadvertised. With regards to projection, it's just as disappointing.
