Twill Rose by Les Parfums de Rosine

*****
Year: 2007

Notes: mandarin, pink pepper, fresh green notes, galbanum, violet, rose, patchouli, amber, sensual woods
Twill Rose is pretty much of a disappointment, possessing a harsh and synthetic rose accord. The citrus-green opening is too dense and overwhelming, and the presence of the cumin simply irritates. As for the drydown, it's a half-heartedly generic patchouli and cedar affair.

Overall, it's a very boring composition that's also poorly executed and devoid of sufficient lasting power. As for it being animalic, you won't find any evidence of that here.
