Alba by Profumum

*****
Year: 2004

Notes: iris, amber, hazelnut, almond wood, sandalwood
There are numerous aspects of Alba that renders the composition as unremarkable.

Firstly, this supposedly woody fragrance is more of a faint powdery amber, with creamy traces of woody notes. Secondly, it's much too pedestrian, with the crass integration of an iris accord causing the whole composition to smell rather unnatural. Thirdly, it has zero projection and is extremely difficult to detect, unless one's nose is almost pressed against the point of application.

So, is it really worth breaking the bank for a bottle of Alba? Ask a silly question...
