Presented at Esxence 2011, to honour the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, 150 Parfum is sadly very unoriginal for such an important historic milestone.

Although no heliotrope is allegedly within the vicinity, 150 Parfum is pretty much a less powdery cross between Lorenzo Villoresi's Teint de Neige and Profumum's Soavissima, but lacking in the structural finesse of the latter. Just like Teint de Neige, it isn't always well-behaved on the skin – emitting a sharp musty tinge at first. But this soon subsides to reveal a creamy and velvety-smooth woody-amberiness, with delicate floral whispers.

With moderate projection and exceptional longevity of at least 20 hours, it's a respectable effort but Soavissima still reigns supreme. However, those looking for a less cloying alternative to either Soavissima or Teint de Neige should look no further.
