Year: unknown
Notes: orange, yellow mandarin, clary sage, violet, rose, osmanthus, rosewood, sandalwood
Comment: Sonnet is part of the Basic Collection and is only available in Japan
Parfum Satori is a Japanese niche fragrance house and Sonnet is classified as a floral.
Complemented by yellow mandarin (an American herb with greenish flowers, which is also a member of the lily family) and clary sage, the citrus opening is engagingly sprightly. The florals, especially the violet and rose, are relatively subdued, as the composition is quickly ushered towards a genteel woody drydown.
Its overall development is terribly rapid and, within minutes, there's nothing more than faint woody traces on the skin (with far more evidence of rosewood than sandalwood). As a feminine creation, it's one of the more fleeting offerings from this house, leaving a sense of dissatisfaction beyond the half hour mark.
