Comment: Classic CEMA pour Homme is an Arab Gulf states exclusive
In 2008, Montale released four fragrances, exclusively available to the Arab Gulf states (two for men and two for women). Classic CEMA pour Homme was one of them.
Although it's an exclusive release, Classic CEMA pour Homme is largely a lighter and slightly tweaked version of Aoud Lime. The saffron is there in abundance, with the oud being not so aggressive or medicinal. While one notices additional notes of rose, patchouli and amber, the absence of any iris in the composition is somewhat glaring. As for the drydown, it's less sensual – coming across as more woody than aromatic.
While it lacks the provocative harshness of its sibling, it's still an acquired taste that may appeal to those who wanted to admire Aoud Lime but simply couldn't. Available as an Eau de Toilette, Classic CEMA pour Homme is a very respectable alternative with good staying power.
