Year: 2008
Notes: olibanum, cedar, guaiac wood, four different types of musk
Comment: Gaiac 10 is the City Exclusive for Tokyo
Allegedly, lighter scents are pretty much the norm in Japan, hence the transparent minimalism of Gaiac 10.
Created by Annick Ménardo, it's a very sparse and diaphanous effort, comprising of clean synthetic musks with minute traces of woods and frankincense. But regardless of its conceptual premise, it's still devoid of sufficient presence, is ridiculously overpriced for what it is and isn't particularly memorable.
While surprisingly tenacious, with near-zero projection, it's simply an aspiring Hermèssence clone.
