During the existence of Etruria, Tuscia was a region of Italy that included Tuscany, a significant part of Umbria and the northern parts of Lazio. This Sigilli offering pays homage to the hills of Tuscia.
But there's nothing even vaguely green or herbaceous about the composition, with an opening that's delightfully sweet, spicy and slightly aldehydic. Possessing what appears to be subtle traces of cinnamon and pepper, its sweetness soon recedes to reveal a soft and creamy floral bouquet. Gentle mentholated whispers occasionally peek through, as a musk base ushers all traces of what went on before into a smooth and unified whole.
Being both balanced and well-blended, it isn't as tenacious or intense as one would have hoped. However, this very interesting spicy-floral is certainly worth investigating.
