Vert Pivoine by Histoires de Parfums

Vert Pivoine doesn't work particularly well, as it's too green and astringent for one to even attempt to enjoy. The florals provide some relief to its harshness but the clumsy overdose of pepper only makes matters worse. One wouldn't strictly classify it as a peppery-floral, as it fails to hit the mark. Instead, it smells somewhat similar to a poorly-executed tomato leaf scent, with a slightly powdery woody vanilla drydown.

A very disappointing release indeed.
