Coming across as a third-rate version of one of their own classics, Sweet Oriental Dream, one is left absolutely bewildered as to Mukhallat's existence. There's not even any substantial evidence of either strawberry or sweet almond in the composition. It's a vile, artificial and medicinal hodgepodge that smells like a half-empty bottle of strawberry-flavoured cough syrup.
With that said, it's undoubtedly the worst Montale ever composed and should never have been released.
