The fruity aldehydic opening of Vaiana Dea is rather dubious at first, with a plastic-like aroma. But, after several moments, it settles into something much more palatable.

Throughout its development, a sweet tapestry of accords bloom with an unequivocally feminine demeanour. The milk-infused floral core is both creamy and velvety, with a hint of freshness from the lily of the valley. Any traces of coconut are minuscule, but the cacao masterfully enhances the proceedings yet is non-intrusive. As the mid notes make way for the earthy final act, the overall effect is soft, powdery and extremely comforting.

With tender sillage and good longevity, one can forgive its briefly rocky opening. And while some might dismiss it as a bog-standard floral-gourmand, it still has a few subtle and redeeming quirks.
