Silk Iris by Parfum Satori

Notes: bergamot, lemon, elemi, green notes, violet, rose, mimosa, iris, olibanum, sandalwood, white musk

Comment: Silk Iris is part of the White Collection and is only available in Japan

Parfum Satori is a Japanese niche fragrance house and Silk Iris is classified as a floral.

It's a delicate, clean and delightful pairing of iris and violet, slightly lifted with some citrus. Any green notes are indiscernible but the rose adds extra body to the floral core, instilling the composition with a romantic subtlety. With airy flourishes of frankincense and sandalwood, the proceedings eventually end with a musky finale.

Aimed towards women, it's one of the better releases from Parfum Satori but still suffers from mediocre sillage and insubstantial staying power. And even though this could easily be attributed to cultural differences, it's still a very expensive fragrance that fails to adequately deliver.
