"Burgundy like a red wine, a dense and rich fragrance with a velvet touch."

     ~ Satori Osawa

Billed as an oriental, Black Peony doesn't start out with a conventionally fresh opening but is, instead, creamy with citrus and floral undertones.

With the additional swirl of spices, woods and amber, there's also a leathery nuance lurking in the composition – allowing further gravitas to the olfactory impression of burgundy. And just like Parfum Satori's description, it's indeed suave, elegant, mysterious and seamless in its blending.

Because of its fleeting nature, the notes are nearly impossible to dissect. However, out of all the feminine floral creations from this house, it's still a personal favourite.
