Notes: spices, leather, woods
Duro is a woody-leather affair that starts out somewhat sweet and spicy. With cedar being the most discernible accord, it's vaguely similar to Serge Lutens' Cèdre. But, within minutes, the sweetness subsides as the leather gradually emerges.

As it further develops, it transforms into something much darker, as the leather increases in presence but never overwhelms the cedar. By this stage, a dry, pungent and somewhat spicy oud or agarwood note (of the Indian variety) unexpectedly materialises, after which all the accords eventually meld together and continue to perform harmoniously.

While it's mysterious, masculine and rather virile, there's something about the composition that's suspiciously synthetic – smelling more like a mixture of aroma chemicals than something that uses a high degree of natural oils. Furthermore, it's a very linear scent that one could imagine growing quickly tired of.

It's a long-lasting parfum extrait, with satisfactory projection, but it's simply not worth the asking price.
